I checked c:\windows\system32\hal.dll and found its driver is halacpi.dll What I'd expect to see is "ACPI Multi-Processor PC". ![]() I checked the HAL in Device Manager\Computer and it is "ACPI (PC)" which is not really multi-processor. I am troubleshooting an issue on this server and have found it has 2xCPU reported in VI and ESX yet only one CPU shows up in Task Manager. ![]() I have inherited a production Windows 2003 VM (hosted on ESX 3.0.1 with VI 2.0.1) that seems to have had a long and sad history of people fiddling with it. ![]()
